Arts & Cultural Programs

The Center is at the heart of the diverse LGBT artistic communities in New York City. It is where, on any given day, you can catch a premiere on our 22-foot screen, hear dynamic musical talent, listen as prominent authors and public figures discuss their work, enjoy an inspired dance performance, observe thought-provoking visual art or attend a theatrical presentation.

The Center is your arts and entertainment hub, with creative outlets for all of your artistic desires. Come see for yourself what The Center has for you.

Recognizing the importance of our history and culture, The Center serves as both a home for original work by artists including Keith Haring and David LaChapelle, and to document LGBT history and our community’s contributions to arts, media and culture in our archive and library. The Center is also the proud home to one of the city’s only queer bookstores and cultural event spaces, The Bureau of General Services—Queer Division.
